User pairs the Personal Alarm with their Bluetooth GSM mobile phone

STEP 2:
User subscribes to a monitoring service. Users subscribes to a location based service (or the handset has access to GPS) (In-house name: XPD

STEP 3
The user decides where is most convenient for them to wear the Personal Alarm (neck, wrist, waist, ankle, belt, or hidden under clothes).

STEP 4
The user presses the buttons on the Wireless Personal Alarm to trigger their mobile phone into sending an SMS to a monitoring service which will send an emergency search and rescue team to the user or follow whatever instructions the user has laid down.

STEP 5
If desired, the Wireless Personal Alarm can open a voice channel with the emergency contact number stored in their phone. After activation the Wireless Personal Alarm continues to send out a strobing signal which can be picked up by rescuers in the vicinity.
