Securecom's Bluetooth Dongle brings the following bluetooth functionality to satellite communications handsets:
Dial up networking (DUN) access to Thuraya's 9.6 Kbit/s data service for e-mail or internet browsing from a bluetooth Ð enabled PC, Laptop or PDA, which may be located up to 100m away from the handset terminal.

Voice calls can also be conducted at a similar distance for the handset using a bluetooth-enabled headset or earpiece.
