- The user's satellite handset can be used in wireless Dial-up-Networking when the Securecom Bluetooth Dongle* has been attached to the phone, allowing the user to remain indoors or under shelter while the handset can remain within line of sight of the satellite. This will allow the user more comfort while accessing the internet/intranet but also allowing the user to enjoy modern standards in communication accessibility.
- If the Bluetooth Dongle* is used in conjunction with Securecom's Wireless Personal Alarm, the user can alert the emergency service contacts with their GPS co-ordinates if they require assistance.
- By Bluetooth* enabling a Satellite Handset the user can enjoy the benefits of wireless connectivity; wireless headsets, sending and receiving messages and images from other bluetooth enabled products, and dial-up-networking. Through wireless connectivity the Satellite Handset user can enjoy a 10 metre range from the handset, (Bluetooth class II) or 100+metre range (Bluetooth I).
